Chat and what?!

Updated: 29 November 2021 at 07:32am

You’ve probably heard about our Chat and Chips events but did you hear about our new scheme to tackle fly-tipping in our community?

We held our very first Chat and Skips event at Millcroft and Nayland House where residents were invited to join staff to talk about any issues or concerns they have and in return could chuck 3 items of rubbish in our skip. It was also an opportunity for us to share important fire safety information post-Grenfell with residents of the two high rise blocks.

Thank you to all our residents who attended! Keep an eye out for future Chat and Skips event.

Since the start of April, we’ve collected 446 tones of fly-tipping which has cost us £66.9K

Fly-tipping is more than a costly nuisance, it is a threat to health and safety and a criminal offence. Phoenix does not tolerate fly-tipping and will take action to stop it. Please report fly-tipping to us by getting in contact.

Please dispose of your household rubbish in the bins provided. Lewisham Council offers a collection service for a small fee for large household items such as fridges, freezers, carpets, chairs, sofas and beds. They will also collect and recycle mattresses for free. You can find more information on the Lewisham Council website
