Contractor appointed for new homes in Bellingham

We are pleased to update that Buxton Building Contractors Ltd has been appointed to build our new homes at Farmstead Road in Bellingham.  

The scheme, designed by Metropolitan Workshop, was approved by Lewisham Planning Committee in June 2022 and will provide 24 new homes on the land next to the railway line, behind numbers 56-60 Farmstead Road. 

Prior to submitting the planning application, we consulted with residents of 60 neighbouring properties, providing detailed information about the proposals. The feedback we received has been used to improve the proposals and address the points raised by residents and the local planning authority. 

The homes will be built to Passivhaus Low Energy Building Standard, meaning residents will benefit from comfortable living environments and lower energy bills. 

The current phase of work will involve surveys, design and utility service connections.  

The demolition and building works are expected to start in the late summer of 2023 and we are in contact with neighbouring residents to ensure that they are updated on the site progress.
