We are very sorry to be saying farewell to our Director of Property and New Business Lesley...
Residents are being invited to give views on proposals for new national consumer standards aimed at ensuring social housing residents can hold landlords to account.
The Regulator of Social Housing has launched a three-month consultation on the proposed new standards, which will sit alongside the Housing and Regulation Act 2008 and meet the expectations of the Housing White Paper
As a resident-led housing association, we welcome the consultation and are encouraging residents to provide individual responses.
We will also be providing a corporate response based on feedback from our Board, where residents form the largest group, from subcommittees and our resident forum, the Phoenix Gateway.
Take part in the consultation
As a Phoenix resident, you can give your views on four draft consumer standards that set out what landlords must do to provide safe homes, quality services, and treat residents with respect.
The draft standards are:
· The Safety and Quality Standard
· The Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard
· The Neighbourhood and Community Standard
· The Tenancy Standard.
You can find more information here.
The consultation will close on 17 October 2023. Once the consultation closes, the Regulator of Social Housing will publish the revised consumer standards and code of practice in April 2024.
